Don't waste your money on these July 26, 2010 RML (Williamsburg, Virginia USA)
You might as well dispose of these gloves before you try using them.
I've bought two boxes of these gloves, both size large: The first batch, ordered in November 2009, was good---uniform fit and high durability. The second batch, ordered at the end of June 2010, is total rubbish. Some of the gloves fit, but many are too small. They also tear easily, some while I'm trying to put them on and a lot more in use (which is yard work---digging and planting). I'd say over 60% of the recent batch have torn in use. I'm switching back to the nitrile gloves from the paint section of my local Home Depot.
Beyond "not sterile"... June 30, 2010 a reader (california) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I ordered a box each of large and medium gloves because they are available directly from Amazon (Prime-eligible). I did realize when ordering them that they were shop gloves and not sterile exam gloves (and the reviews for the large gloves do mention this repeatedly). What I wasn't expecting was for about 80% of the gloves in each box to be contaminated with an unknown black substance, and for a smaller but significant fraction to be torn! It's one thing for the outer surface to not be sterile - but (1) how do I know what the black substance is and whether it is bad for whatever I'm touching, and (2) how do I know it isn't contaminated on the inside as well? (Hint: not all contaminants need to be visible to be bad for you or for equipment.) The gloves seem fine from a thickness and mechanical design point of view, but if some gloves are visibly torn, how am I supposed to trust that the remainder don't have small tears or weak areas that are about to tear?
always pleased with the speedy delivery March 29, 2010 Happy Mama (Asheville NC) My hubby works with tile and concrete so these gloves are perfect for what he needs. The delivery is always super speedy. I wish the large size was the same price as the medium and XL... I guess Large is the most popular. He goes through a lot... but at least shipping is free if you get a few boxes at a time. Overall... EXCELLENT.
Larger but not as thick as Gator Skin March 4, 2010 Thoughtful Critic (Mountain View, CA) I purchased these in size large after having purchased Gator Skin gloves in size large. The Advanced Tool Design gloves (aka Tech Grip) in size large is larger than the Gator Skin in size large, so it's better for larger hands. However, the Gator Skin gloves are thicker than the Advanced Tool Design, which are more like standard nitrile gloves. I will buy the Gator Skin next time.
Very sturdy February 26, 2010 SherBear (Florida) I bought these for my husband because we own a pest control business and he works with a lot of chemicals. Other brands tore easily, these are sturdier. I buy 5 boxes at a time and he uses them every day.
