 Very effective cleaner with a nice scent July 11, 2010

Dr. Bronner's liquid soap has been a staple in my bathroom and kitchen for decades but I had never tried Sal Suds. The most noticeable characteristic is a very strong and pleasant scent of pine oils from fir needle and spruce.
I have used it on hard surfaces throughout my apartment including in the kitchen and bathroom as well as on the walls and parquet floor. I am especially impressed with how much visible grime the copious suds lift and remove from the floor. It does a particularly good job in removing greasy dirt so I have also been using it on greasy pots and dishes, taking care to rinse well until there is no scent left behind. It also removes the oily residue from the coffee maker.
Sal Suds is very concentrated and only a couple of drops on a sponge or a moderate squeeze in a bucket of hot water is sufficient. I was a little worried that it would irritate the skin on my hands but it has not.

It seems expensive but one bottle goes a really long way. Especially if you are familiar with using "natural" cleaners, the can often seem a bit week. For dishwashing it probably works out 16:1 Bronners: water ratio. It may even be better than that.

I bought this product to use a laundry detergent mostly for items that call for delicate detergent. Well I ran out of my regular detergent and so I used a small amount in a load of cloths (mostly my husbands work shirts). Well I noticed some of the staining on his shirts where not as noticeable. I think this product worked better than my usual detergent so I am now doing every load with it. I have also used it on some bloody clothes and there was no stains after washing (the blood was dried). I will continue to use this product. I makes more sense instead of lugging the large bottles of deterent home form the store. I have a front loader so I am only using about a teaspoon of the detergent in a load. I may even try it in the dish washer.

This cleans everything. The tiniest bit will go a long way. Just be careful, makes LOTS of suds. Great product.

Dr. Bronner's Sal Suds is by far the best cleaning product my family has ever used. We use it to mop our tile floors, clean our kitchen appliances, wash clothes, wash our cars, wipe down wood and leather furniture, clean up spills on upholstery, wash down concrete and more. Dr. Bronner's Sal Suds never fails to do a fantastic job at meeting our cleaning needs. Also, a little bit goes a long way. One squirt of Sal Suds in a three gallon bucket is all that is needed to create a bubbly mixture of cleaning heaven.
