Product Description "Perf Go Green is committed to driving change in the world by encouraging people from all walks of life to get involved in the effort to lessen our toll on the environment."
These bags have all the common conveniences of garden variety trash bags - handles, non-leaking, etc. - but are made from recycled plastic. This product boasts a unique dispenser system, which sticks to the inside bottom of the trash can and pulls out like a tissue would so there's always another bag handy. Perf Go Green is dedicated to funding green initiatives that promote sustainability and is committed to the greening of our planet.
Go Green!
Use leftover lime and lemon rinds in the garbage disposal for deodorizing. Cut into strips and stuff them down the disposal.
Amazon.com Product Description Why our plastic products are so different. Thanks to our innovative green technology, Perf Go Green products are the first biodegradable disposable plastics to gain mass distribution across America. So now it's easier than ever to Go Green and make a difference. Our proprietary, natural eco-process starts by using post consumer recycled plastics which reduces plastic waste in the environment. We utilize eco-friendly application methods with proprietary plastic additives that are ASTM D6954 compliant. Our Go Green technology speeds up the biodegradation and our plastics totally degrade in 2 years returning to nature as water, carbon dioxide, and bio-mass. Even our box is made of 100% recycled paperboard. We like to think somewhere nature is smiling. A percentage of revenues from this product is donated to the Go Green 21.0 Foundation to fund Green Education initiatives across the U.S.

PLEASE READ THIS September 1, 2010 R. Koetke If you are concerned about the environment, do not buy these bags. Although these bags break down in a landfill, thus reducing bulk, they do not completely biodegrade into inert ingredients. They are made from PLASTIC, so it stands to reason that they cannot break down completely, since plastics cannot do that. The plastic in the bags will break down into microscopic particles that are, in themselves, a biohazard, being inhaled through the air we breathe, leached into water sources, and possibly consumed by animals we may use for food. If you want a product that breaks down to become what is effectively soil, contains no toxins and can support plant life, do not choose this product. Look for products that are certified compostable and biodegradable by ASTM standards. And look up the definitions of these standards so you can be an educated comsumer. If you can find products that meet California's standards, better yet, as they have the stricted standards. I used these bags for a while and preferred them to other compostable bags because they were so much stronger and did not fall apart. However, I did not realize that the claims the company makes are misleading because they lead the buyer to feel they are making a "green" choice, when in fact, they are not.
Go Green March 25, 2010 A. Parr (Baton Rouge, LA United States) Best garbage bags I have ever used. Hopefully, Amazon will continue to carry these regardless of whether they are shown to be fully biodegradable.
$6.99 at Sprouts March 17, 2010 A. Pettersen The price listed of $89 is ridiculous and indicative of someone trying to profit off of peoples good intentions..........just bought a box with 12 bags at Sprouts farmers market for $6.99.....4 boxes as in this offer would be less than $28.
The bags are great quality though just don't buy them from this seller.
Only bags I buy! February 23, 2010 Melissa A. Trask I really like these bags and using these bags make me feel much better about the environment than using Glad bags. They are great kitchen bags and they don't have the cool stuff Glad bags have but really....it's for trash!
Plastic is NOT biodegradeable! December 4, 2009 H. MILLER (CHICAGO, IL) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I think the average consumer, and sometimes the slightly educated person, accepts false advertisement on a product finding themselves duped by unethical business & marketing tactics. I'm here to say that the word 'plastic' and 'biodegradeable' should NEVER been in the same sentence. Plastic will NEVER biodegrade... meaning it does not break down into organic compounds that can then be used by the natural lifecycle of our planet. What plastic does do is PHOTODEGRADE... and all this means is that the bag (or the infamous plastic bottle - my personal nemesis) you see today will eventually break up into small bits the size of a grain of sand. The plastic is STILL there, it still is hydrophobic, it still transports hydrophobic contaminants into our ground water, it still causes havoc in our marine environments... we solve absolutely NOTHING with a plastic/hydrocarbon-based product... especially this one that says it breaks down even FASTER than it should... which at the end of the day may create more problems for us at a much faster rate. Please do NOT fall for this product thinking your doing something good for mother nature!
