it's nice to have a spare battery for ANYTHING July 25, 2010 Janice Gudinkas (Willington CT) this hoover LINX cordless rechargeable lithium battery is a 'must have' if you're buying the LINX vacuum. You don't want to get frustrated and run out of "gas." I understand that you CANNOT leave the battery in the charger after charging or it won't work. Short and simple.... always be prepared. oh, easy charging unit, easy battery installation in vacuum!
spare battery for hoover July 16, 2010 Nannie McPhee (Tucson, AZ USA) The Hoover cordless vac was expensive as compared to others, but it is the family favorite (we have Black and Decker and Shark sweeper). Bought the Hoover at Costco. May buy another if it is on special sale. The spare battery is great if you're really to fork out the money. We just run the Hoover until the battery runs out and swap in the new battery. Otherwise, we were always removing the battery to charge it after several uses, whether it needed it or not. We now never run out of battery power in the middle of a job.
Good Battery July 14, 2010 Pam N. Bird (Marco Island, FL) Heavy duty battery that lasts quite awhile. Only needs
3 hours to recharge. Provides enough suction to clean up
cat box litter.
Only used it 3 times so far! June 22, 2010 C. krenkel (Dunkirk, Md. USA) First let me tell you that this vac has power! It is lightweight and wonderful to just pick up and go with it. I HATE VACUUMS WITH A CORD! I can't tell you how nice this is to just be able to vacuum without tripping over and tugging on a cord. I have an average size house and it stays charged the whole time. The directions that come with it are horrible. Nowhere does it tell how long a charge will last or if you should keep the battery in the charger. I called the company and was told that the vac runs for 15 minutes per charge and DO NOT keep the battery in the charger over night! I have seen the vac demonstrated on HSN and the rep said "just keep the battery in the charger." What does a consumer do these days with such conflicting directions??? I charge mine and put it in the vac and don't leave it in the charger just to be safe. I would highly recommend it!
Have been using for about 3 months and so far so good June 12, 2010 Sandy (Wood River, IL United States) I bought the Hoover cordless sweeper and two batteries so I could run one down completely and pull the other off the charger, switching as needed. So far it's working and both batteries are providing a full charge to run through the house on a single battery. (I have 3 dogs and 2 cats so I generally use a small broom to get hair up first then use the sweeper for dust; even then I usually have to empty the dust cup 2-3 times for a 1,000 square foot house.)
